Herelink Blue can be updated on PC, Mac and Linux as per the below process. Newer firmware versions allow you to update the Herelink Blue via WiFi from with-in the settings app.
Please choose the correct method to upgrade your device.

Determine Air Unit upgrade method : If your Air Unit is unable to pair with controller, or did not show Air Unit firmware version like below or no such page. Please upgrade with PC. For other cases, please upgrade with the OTA option.
*Make sure the Herelink Controller Unit is connected to 5GHz WiFi
In the drop down menu, select the SETTINGS icon (gear)
Scroll down to 'Date & time'
Uncheck the 'Automatic date & time' option, and manually set the time zone, year, date, and time.
Once the date and time are correct, select the 'Herelink Settings' in the drop down menu.
Select the 'AIRUNIT' tab, then select 'UPDATE APP'
After the 'Settings App' has been updated, reboot the Controller Unit. Press and hold the 'Power' button, select 'Restart'.
Select the 'Herelink Settings' in the drop down menu.
Select the 'AIRUNIT' tab, then select 'UPDATE OTA APP'
Install the antennas on the Air Unit then power with 7-12v, ensure that the Air Unit is powered on, and pair with the ground station if they are not already paired.
Cross check the 'Online Version' of Air Unit firmware with the 'Local Version' of Air Unit firmware that is installed on the Air Unit. If different, proceed with updating the Air Unit's firmware.
Select the 'DOWNLOAD AIR FIRMWARE' to download the latest firmware to the Controller Unit.
Once the Online Version of the Air Unit firmware is downloaded to the Controller Unit, select 'TRANSFER TO AIRUNIT' to push the firmware to the Air Unit.
Once the new Air Unit firmware has been transferred to the Air Unit, select 'UPDATE AIRUNIT' to update the Air Unit with the new firmware.
Ensure that the 'Online Version' and the 'Local Version' Air Unit firmware now match. You will probably need to toggle to different menu tab (i.e 'RADIO'), wait a few seconds, then toggle back to the 'AIRUNIT' tab to refresh the 'Local Version' information.
*Note: It is very important to update the Air Unit Firmware before proceeding to update the Controller Unit firmware.
*Please DO NOT proceed with updating the Controller Unit firmware until after the Air Unit firmware is up-to-date.
In the drop down menu, select the 'Update Available' option.
Alternatively, in the drop down menu, select the Android Settings icon (gear). Scroll down to 'About Phone' and select 'System Updates'.
Select the 'CHECK FOR UPDATE' button
*Please DO NOT proceed with updating the Controller Unit firmware until after the Air Unit firmware is up-to-date.
Select the 'UPDATE' button.
Connect controller to PC via USB.
Put the Herelink Blue Controller unit into Fastboot mode by pressing Power and D button simultaneously while turning on. (at least one antenna needs to be connected)
Extract and Run the application packaged inside the zip file. After Controller unit upgrade is complete the unit will automatically restart once finished.
Herelink Blue Controller unit will boot up with Activation window, follow the Activation steps below to continue.

Power the Air unit with 7-12v power supply, Connect Air Unit to PC via USB. At least one antenna needs to be connected, UART and SBUS cables are not needed to be connected.
The program identifies the device and downloads the firmware, requiring the PC to be connected to the Internet during upgrade.
After the download is complete, it will automatically start to write and restart after the writing is complete.
In some Windows systems it's been found that due to incorrect Driver setup, Herelink Blue units fail to be detected. In such cases please power up by pressing Power+D button until "Fastboot" screen shows up. Install driver from here https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb. In cases where driver was already installed, Uninstall Device from Device manager (Ensure to check the "also uninstall driver" option), and then reconnect and install the correct driver from Google. OR use https://herelinkfw.cubepilot.org/driver.msi
After upgrading the Herelink Blue firmware you may be required to activate your device, you will be presented with the 'Update Device' Screen
Note: Herelink Blue must be connected to an internet connection via 5 GHz WiFi to activate.
Connect Herelink Blue to your WiFi connection from the settings menu
Select your region then click 'Proceed'
You will then be prompted to input your 16 digit software activation key.
Note: Herelink Blue should automatically populate the key. If the key is not automatically populated, contact NW Blue support and we will assist you with your key. support@nwblue.com
Once input click 'done' then 'Register' and your device will then download the latest software and update automatically.
